Easter Celebrations 2025

Sunday 20th April.

As the final hymn at the Easter Sunday service came to an end, the doors of the Methodist Chapel were flung open to allow an encore of that hymn, "Thine be the Glory", to echo across the village, spreading the joy of the occasion.

This Easter Day celebration was the first service to be held in the chapel following the redevelopment work.

On what was an excellent morning of rejoicing, a full congregation decorated the Easter cross with flowers, took holy communion, sang classic Easter hymns as well as enjoying hot cross buns after the service.

The decorated cross was placed outside the chapel for everyone to enjoy.

Harvest Celebration 2024

Sunday 13th October.

We celebrated our Harvest Festival on Sunday 13th October. We were joined by Reverend Leslie Newton who led us in worship. Leslie is pictured by the beautiful harvest arch created by members of the chapel. His excellent sermon (appropriate for Harvest) was based on the Wheat and the Weeds. The service is on the Chapel Facebook page and can be watched here.

A collection was held for 'All We Can' that has so far raised over £350. If you would like to donate, please let the chapel stewards know. Also if you would like to purchase a bag or half bag of potatoes. All proceeds will also go to 'All We Can'.

The food collection was in aid of the excellent work of the Ripon Food Bank

After the service we enjoyed our Harvest dinner. Thank you to all who helped.
