It was a positive Bishop Monkton Fun Day debrief meeting recently where lots of ideas, suggestions and “things that could be improved” were shared between the group about the future of the event. There was recognition of the new leadership team, but it was important to say that “everyone” is crucial to its success going forward.

What became evident is that there needs to be a “call to arms” for local village volunteers to help both in the preparation and, more importantly, on the actual day.

For this year the group may bask in the glory of their success raising funds for the village hall and will start the planning all over again in 2026.
