For one night and one night only, on Wednesday October 8th, at the Village Hall, the perenially popular Badapple Theatre Company returns to Bishop Monkton with its one woman comedy show, "Crumbs".

Penned by Kate Bramley, "Crumbs" follows the life and times of an ex-TV baking show host who has recently been “let-go” from a high profile TV show under dubious circumstances. Now trying to re-style herself within the fast-paced and cut-throat world of influencers and social media millionaires, the show follows her hilarious slips and trips in her live baking show as she tries to keep the lights- and the oven- on in the face of almost certain doom.

Laughs galore throughout with the added bonus of baking to taste at the end of the show.

Badapple, based in Yorkshire and a frequent visitor to Bishop Monkton, is one of the UK’s most vibrant and prolific touring companies which has been taking original productions to venues nationwide since 1998.The writer of its latest offering is a highly respected theatre practitioner who trained under Sir John Godber at Hull Truck Theatre becoming the youngest professional director at the award-winning company. Kate has lived in rural areas for most of her life and often sets her plays within a small village, where the protagonists look out at the wider world from the unique perspective of rural life.

To book tickets, please click here. Prices cost £15.50 for adults and £8.50 for a child under 16.

The performance begins at 7.30 p.m.
