Resident Participation Begins!

A terrific turnout marked the launch of resident participation in creating the Neighbourhood Development Plan for the Parish of Bishop Monkton.

The strong turnout and the enthusiasm, knowledge and experience of those who attended were both encouraging and inspiring. Groups have now been formed to work together on researching and drafting sections of the plan covering the following areas.

Housing Provision and Affordability

Flooding and Utilities Capacity

Heritage and Local Character

Transport and Access

Environment, Landscape and Water

Community Facilities and Local Economy

The Plan must reflect the views of all local residents, who will be asked to vote in a referendum before it is adopted.
