The monthly draw in aid of St. John's Church took place on Saturday June 7th with the first three numbers “out of the hat” listed below.

1. No. 70

2. No. 10

3. No. 57

Congratulations to the winners.

This draw is part of an ongoing fundraising drive for repairs at the Church and new subscribers are always welcome. When it started, the aim was for 100 subscribers. Currently it stands at 65. The cost is £60 per year, £30 for 6 months, or £5 a month and can be paid by either standing order, direct debit or cheque.

Organiser, Sue Hargreaves says “I really would like to increase the number on the list and although I know money is scarce and it is difficult to have extras on your budgets I would ask that you might consider subscribing. The draw does make a reasonable amount for the church.

Sue adds, “I really want to continue with the draw but kindly ask that if you know anyone from either Bishop Monkton or Burton Leonard, (neighbours, villagers, congregation, relatives), who feel they could subscribe, then please contact me.”

For further details, or to become a monthly subscriber, please get in touch with Sue.
