Speculative only at this stage, and it must be stressed that this is all it is at this time, is the possibility of around 83 new homes being built in the area of Mains Lane off Knaresborough Road in the village. Yorkshire-based property development company, Caddick Land, attended the September meeting of the Parish Council to speak about its proposal, currently still very much in the pre-planning phase.

Highlights of the meeting, which include more details of this presentation with an outline of the Council's response as well as a graphic of the proposed development, can be found on the Parish Council website. To read those highlights in more detail, please click here.

Also on these highlights can be found a report of an informal meeting held recently between the working group of the Parish Council responsible for development issues and two representatives from Avant Homes.

Full minutes will be published in due course and will be available on the parish council website, please click here.
