Welcome to the second Ripon Chess Open Tournament!

The format will be as follows for both Junior and Adult competitions:

Registration will close on Sat 31 Oct 2026.

The first round draw will be made on Sun 1 Nov.

The number of competitors at the end of registration will determine the number of rounds:

First round runs from 2 - 8 Nov.

Second round runs from 9 - 15 Nov.

Third round runs from 16 - 22 Nov.

Using a standard knockout tournament format, 32 competitors will result in 4 rounds, resulting in a final round from 23 - 29 Nov. Less competitors could result in an earlier final, more competitors could result in a later final.

Awards presentation will be TBC.
