Monday's the day! One of the most eagerly anticipated events in the Bishop Monkton calendar takes place on Bank Holiday Monday from 12 until 4.

Previously the Hog Roast, it is now the Village Fun Day with some new attractions as well as the old favourites including pig races, duck races on the beck and a tug of war outside the Masons. This year food options have been widened to include veggie chpices and children's food as well as the traditional Hog Roast.

Various local groups and individuals will have stalls along Main Street. The School Hall will be open for tea, coffee and refreshments as well as the pub. An exhibition of school photos and artwork from 1900 to the present day (part of the 'Best Yars of Our Lives' project) will be on show in the School Hall.
